The offer

The Town Tower has been the dominant landmark of Trnava for several centuries. As an observation tower it was built to contribute to the town´s safety. Rising to a height of almost 60 meters, the massive Renaissance building hides a unique and still functioning mechanical clockwork in its interior. The Nemček’s family has been taking care of the mechanical clockwork for almost five generations. The walkway of the town is at the height of 29 m and you have to climb 143 steps to reach it. You will get a unique view not only over the town, but also over the Trnava plain or the Little Carpathians. The moon with a star, originally placed at the top of the tower, was replaced by a gilded statue of the Virgin Mary Immaculata, whose face is on both sides in order to protect everyone and not turn her back at anyone. Tourist Information Centre is located in the Town Tower offering its services seven days a week so you will never get lost in Trnava. It provides tickets to the Town Tower and souvenirs, but also promotional materials about Trnava, maps or valuable advice from the employees of the centre.
