A landscape shaped by wine

Vineyards, village lanes and cool cellars connect Trnava with the eastern foothills of the Little Carpathians. Winemaking has shaped local livelihoods, architecture and hospitality for generations. Here, a tasting becomes a conversation with the people who tend the vines: a personal way to discover the destination after a meeting or during a longer stay.

Our wine country, beyond membership boundaries

Explore Trnava and Zeleneč, Ružindol and Suchá nad Parnou, Dlhá and the Orešany villages, then continue through Doľany, Častá and Dubová towards Budmerice, Štefanová, Šenkvice and Vištuk. The directory includes publicly listed growers and wineries across this Trnava-facing corridor, including businesses outside the tourism organisation’s membership. It is a visitor-oriented selection of documented producers, not a register of every private grower in the entire Little Carpathians.

What to taste

Start with fresh whites such as Welschriesling, Riesling and Grüner Veltliner, then explore Pinot varieties, aromatic Devín or Pálava and Slovak red varieties such as Dunaj. Modrý Portugal has a special local connection with Suchá nad Parnou and Orešany. Compare wines from different producers rather than expecting one uniform style: vineyard location, vintage and cellar choices all leave their mark.

Four partners, four different stories

Mrva & Stanko brings a well-known wine address to Trnava itself. Terra Parna combines wine with the scenery of Ružová dolina in Suchá nad Parnou. Karpatská Perla adds a family-estate story in Šenkvice, while Vína z Mlyna connects winemaking with a historic mill in Doľany. These member businesses are highlighted with a star on the map; other listed producers broaden the discovery.

A programme for your group

For an evening after a conference, arrange one hosted tasting with food and a return transfer. For a half-day escape, combine a vineyard walk with a cellar visit. For a full day, select two nearby wineries with different approaches, allow time for lunch and return to Trnava for the evening. These are programme ideas to tailor with suppliers; group size, language, food pairing, accessibility and coach access need to be agreed in advance.

A wine calendar worth returning for

Spring brings work in the vines and open-cellar events around St Urban’s day; late summer and autumn bring harvest activity and village wine celebrations. November’s open-cellar events offer another reason to return. Dates, participating cellars and ticket conditions change each year: consult the current Malokarpatská vínna cesta programme. Private group tastings can also be arranged outside festival dates, subject to the producer’s availability.

Plan a visit that works

Reserve tastings directly with the winery and confirm the visitor entrance: a published contact address is not automatically a walk-in tasting venue. Include a driver or private transfer, drinking water, food and a worthwhile alcohol-free option. The map distinguishes located premises, geocoded addresses and approximate village positions. Open a producer’s source or website before finalising your route.
